Typical schedule:

The times below are just an example, other start times are available.
14:00: You’ll be picked up in central Oporto in a private minivan or coach and taken to the go kart circuit approximately 20 minutes outside the city centre.
1430 You'll be briefed by the track staff, sign some disclaimers about safety and don your helmet.
1450: A short warm up race begins, so you get the hang of the steering and brakes.
1455: the race begins in earnest and you'll race for another 25 - 30 minutes.
1525: Time for a beer to toast the champion.
1540: You'll be back on the bus heading back to Porto centre (arriving approx 1600).

What else do I need to know:

Our standard package offers a 30 minute total driving time.
The karts are cc and kept in tip top conditions by the kart circuit's mechanics.
In summer it can get hot out on the track so shorts and t-shirts are best (not to mention a dollop of sun block).
Wear trainers (not sandals) if possible - helps if you are sure footed with the braking!
Cafe-bar facilities for drinks and snacks are available at the track.
Important: you will not be allowed to participate if you are under the influence of alcohol! (so don't book too early of you are on a stag do)

Have you got the throttle?

If your stag group are speed fans they’ll love Porto go karts. It’s pure adrenalin. The salty air from the Atlantic, just down the road only adds to the sensation as you roar up and down the gentle incline of Porto’s top go kart track.

The ride out to the track is only 15 mins from central Porto. You’ll be briefed on arrival and kitted out with all the the safety gear, and given instructions on safe and careful use of the cars.

You’re in the driving seat at Porto Go Karts

You’ll have some warm up time to get used to the track and cars, then your whole group will be on the track for the main race. You’ll be heading hell for leather for the checkered flag and hoping to leave the rest of the group struggling round those tricky corners.

Most groups race in total for approximately 30 minutes, although other time assignments are possible (see “What’s included”). And for just half an hour, you will feel like a Hamilton, Alonso, or at least a Tiago Monteiro.
