- Your class will last approximately 3 - 4 hours and takes place on one of Porto's local beaches at Matosinhos.

- Tips and expert knowledge – let us know if you are a beginner or a pro who wants to learn some special tricks!
- All the necessary equipment and safety instructions
- You must heed the safety precautions and advice of your instructor - the Atlantic Ocean is not to be taken lightly !
- The beach is a short ride from Porto city centre. If you wish to book a one way or return transfer to the surfing location let us know and we'll whisk you straight there from your hotel or apartment.
Be kings of the waves – just for a day
Porto is a tried and trusted base for some of the radical surf community. They head out to Portugal’s Atlantic coast to catch some of the biggest waves in the world. A Porto surfing lesson for your stag do in Portugal would certainly place you up there with surfing greats like Kelly Slater. You’ll be the toast of the local beach babes and surf groupies (maybe…): a real bleached Beach Boy (rather than a blitzed beach bum).
Porto’s beaches are impressive and natural, and so near the city centre. Matosinhos, where our surfing classes take place is only a 15 min taxi from centre of town. This Porto surfing lesson means fresh sea air, sandy beaches and adrenaline-filled waves. Not to mention the fantastic seafood available while you are at the beach. (Ask us if you want to book something!)
What to expect from you Porto surfing lesson
An English-speaking surf instructor will take you through the moves. You’ll get you to grips with your board and maybe even teach you some Portuguese surf lingo. Suit, board and all other equipment is provided, included in the cost. You’ll start off with the instructor showing you some basics on the beach, before you swim out with your board to start riding the wave!
This is a basic surfing class (unless you’ve requested otherwise), so don’t worry if you don’t know a surf board from an ironing board. You’ll get the hang of it, and it might just become your new obsession or hobby.
