Our local guide will make sure you have a beach football or volleyball court set up (let us know which you prefer by all means, they’re both a riot! – often both will be available but that depends on the time of year, as Porto’s beaches can be busy in summer at weekends).
But, maybe the most riotous thing about Porto beach games are the organised group games, where some of you might get a bit dizzy and even buried in the sand, our beach guide will get you competing in teams and make sure you get chance to build the most impressive castle! Our Porto beach games afternoon (or morning for the early risers!) lets you enjoy the world class beaches of Porto to the full. You’ll have a laugh, get some rays and we’ll throw in a couple of beers to get things going. There will also be a nice beach bar close at hand for those of you who prefer their entertainment sitting down.
We’ll head to the world-class beaches of Matosinhos or Gaia (a short ride form the Porto city centre area of Trindade or Aliados). FAQ – Porto Beach Games
What is the normal schedule for Porto beach games ?
These times are just a guideline, this activity’s start time is pretty much dictated by you!
12:00 Catch a cab from the centre of town to find the beach location (our voucher shows all the details you need and if you’d like to book private transfers just let us know)
12:30 arrive at the beach venue and meet our guide, who’ll get you organised for the session.
16:00 approx after the games and a few beers you might want to sit and have some tapas at teh beachside and discuss who made the biggest clam of him/herself!
16: 30 You’ll be back in Porto centre, but note this depends on how long you hang out at the beach (those seaside Super Bocks can be so moreish!) Two Beers Each Included – Beach Bar on Standby

How much does Porto beach games cost ?
For the 1hr option the price is approximately €49 per person. We’ll get you the best rate, which depends on your group size. Ask us for the best quote!
What else do I need to know?
- The Portuguese coast can be hot, rough and wild! We always recommend lots of sun block, and great care with swimming in the ocean which can have large waves and strong currents.
- obviously, some swimwear would be a good idea if coming to the beach, and maybe a towel
- Keeping cool on the playa is an art, stay hydrated and drinks loads….of water at least ?
- Bucket, spade, and beer!
- Apart from beach clothes and a towel, you won’t need much equipment as we’ll lay it all on. With beaches so near the centre of town, it’s a short trip in a cab or by public transport to get to the venue (we’ll give you full information on that in our voucher). We can also lay on Porto transfers to get you to the beach on time!
- Our guide will meet you at the beach and organise all of your activities. Our package includes two beers each (can also be wine or soft drink if you are that way inclined!). You’ll spend approximately 3.5 hours at the beach. You’ll have extra drinks and food to hand of course with local beachside cafes, bars and restaurants. If you want to organise in advance a lunch for the whole group to sit down and enjoy, let us know, there are some fantastic options!

What clothes should I wear ?
- Beach weather in Porto – yup of course
- Porto’s climate is mostly benign (check out the weather in Porto here right now) and you’ll typically get mild sunny days all year. Summer of course is well hot (27ºC +) In fact temperatures in the winter months of November – February would not always be great for the beach but spring and autumn offer pleasant average temperatures (often 19º or more) and Porto has lots of hours of sun.
- It goes without saying this is the Atlantic sea, not the mediterranean, and the waves crashing in are often the star of the show.In summer it can get hot – shorts and t-shirts are best.
- Wear trainers for peak pedalling!
Is the start point easy to get to?
- Yes, this activity start and ends in the Foz area of Porto, near the shore and a short distance from central Porto.
- You can book transfers with us, or just get Ubers or cabs.
- Make sure you arrive on time to check in !
