FAQ about Porto Go Karting

What is the normal schedule for karting in Porto ?

Porto go karting track is available all year Thursday – Sunday. Track start times are from 1200 midday until 1700. Here is a typical schedule, which is just an example, other start times are available:

• 14:00: If you include transport, you’ll be picked up in central Porto in a private minivan or coach and taken to the go kart circuit approximately 20 minutes outside the city centre.
• 1430 You’ll be briefed by the track staff, sign some disclaimers about safety and don your helmet.
• 1500: A short warm up race begins, so you get the hang of the steering and brakes.
• 1505: the race begins in earnest and you’ll race for another 20 – 25 minutes.
• 1530: Time for a beer to toast the champion.
• 1550: You’ll be back on the bus heading back to Porto centre (arriving approx 1620).

How much does karting in Porto cost ?

For the 5 + 20 mins option you wil pay approximately €50 per person. Ask us for the best quote!

What else do I need to know?

• Our standard package offers a 25-30 minute total driving time.
• The karts are in tip top conditions by the kart circuit’s mechanics.
• Cafe-bar facilities for drinks and snacks are available at the track.
• Important: you will not be allowed to participate if you are under the influence of alcohol!

What clothes should I wear ?

• In summer it can get hot out on the track so shorts and t-shirts are best (not to mention a dollop of sun block).
• Wear trainers (not sandals) if possible – helps if you are sure footed with the braking!

Is the Porto go karting track easy to get to?

• Yes, it’s only a 20-25 minute trip by minivan or taxi, north of the city.
• You can book transfers with us, or just get Ubers or cabs.
• Make sure you arrive on time to check in !
