Clubs in Porto in general have a reputation for a friendly vibe and you’ll certainly bump into some people with a full-on god-times approach. Porto people are great partiers, and in common with other Portugal locations like Lisbon and Albufeira, the night scene merges pretty much with the morning scene (!) -not much point in arriving before 1 am at these places (or leaving before 6 am).
Dress and behaviour codes are strictly ensured of course. Large groups of men will not usually be admitted unless prior arrangements have been made.
Our top two recommend clubs in Porto both have a friendly vibe. They are not cavernous, places or theatre-style, so quite intimate.
Eskada is the more “exclusive” and more for “beautiful people” of the two (although with a good and friendly vibe). This club is about a 15 mins walk from Aliados Square (5 mins in a cab). Particularly good for:
Best deals for VIP at Eskada are VIP areas (known as “cabinas”) including a large exclusive are for groups of 18 – 30.
Boulevard is maybe the busiest and most central club (very close to Porto bars in central street near Aliados such as Candido dos Reis and Galerias de Paris). It is right on Aliados Square. You’ll see large queues for this place on Saturday nights and it’s totally happening with eclectic sounds. Best arrangements here are VIP areas and informal table bookings..
