Oceanico has been enticing golf lovers for more than four decades and one visit to the course will make you realise why. Golf days here are always memorable, the perfect combination of challenging golf with a distinctly classy feel to the club house and surroundings.
Additionally for the golf /stag combination, being within the proximity of Villamoura and the bars, restaurants and nightlife that that resort has to offer, then it’s a course to keep front and centre when planning your do.
One of the most prestigious names of all the Algarve courses, Quinto has been the venue for the Portugese Open on the European Tour on seven occasions and been played by some of the great names in world golf from past champion Colin Montgomerie to 2014s successful Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley.
With three championship courses at the resort and a stunning location along the Algarve’s Atlantic coastline this is a beast of a golf venue and one for the real golf lovers to add to their bucket list.
Not only is San Lorenzo one of the best courses in the Algarve, and it really is, but location wise it’s perfect for an Algarve break. Just a short distance from Faro the course is also within forty minutes of popular stag resorts such as Albufeira and Villamoura making it ideal to add into the schedule. From a golfer’s point of view this is a stunning course, set along the Ria Formosa estuary it delivers a mix of gentle, beautifully cultured holes alongside some devilishly tricky holes of narrow fairways and awkward bunkers.
Another jewel of golf courses in the Algarve. With a mix of parkland and more traditional links style holes the course is delightful smorgasbord for all handicaps and one of the great golf courses in the Algarve. Located handily for those staying in the popular Lagos and Alvor regions the resort offers 27 championship holes and an ideal venue for fun, if still challenging, golf days on your stay in the region.
Further west from Faro Airport Quinta De Cima is a course set up with the more accomplished golfer in mind. So if you’re a party of low handicappers or keen golfer’s out for a challenge then this is a course to add to the list. Alternatively, the neighbouring Quinta De Ria is a typically well-manicured course offering parkland golf for all standards.
