For sunshine, beaches, nightlife, bars and all round joie-de-vivre, a Valencia stag do punches well above its weight. The favourable climate puts it maybe at No. 1 among the big Spanish cities for winter sun weekends. You’ll find that Valencia has everything you’d expect from major Spanish cities like Barcelona or Madrid, but with a more laid-back atmosphere, and lower prices.
Valencia is famous for the Fallas festival in March where pretty much everything is torched. It’s rockets and bangers all week. The pyromaniac locals of this wonderful Mediterranean city may not agree, but there’s much more to Valencia than throwing bangers around.
After all, what’s a couple of roman candles between friends? Our consultants live and work in Valencia, and will be only too happy to explain why and where you can expect fireworks…
For a Valencia stag there’s top La Liga football at Valencia CF. The marina and beach area is a must for a catamaran cruise with drinks, jet skiing or a flyboard adventure. And of course, in Spain, you’ll want to test your stags’ mettle with a go at Valencia baby bull running. And that’s without even mentioning Valencia’s superb nightclub L’Umbracle.
And let’s not forget the atmospheric Valencia old town at El Carmen, full of bars and restaurants. Or Valencia beaches and clubbing at the Port and Malvarrosa, or the breath-taking sights of the futuristic buildings of trendier-than-thou architects Calatrava and Moneo at Valencia’s former river bed (now a park – a big favourite) and the City of Arts and Science. The Russafa area is bohemian and laid back, full of weekend party-ers and a great place to chill on a corner terrace slurping oversized gin and tonics from fishbowls!
