Madrid Hen Weekend

Tour Madrid – great stuff to see

With so many things to see in Madrid, we recommend you tour Madrid with just your group in a private bus, coach or minivan with your very own guide.  This is a personalised way for your hen (or stag or friends) group to stick together and learn about your surroundings (and maybe spot a few watering holes you’l make a note to check out later on that evening…)

Your own coach and a guide are included for a tailor-made trip around the glories and delights of the city. Discuss the route with your guide and let her know exactly what you’re after. Stop-offs for tapas and/or quaffing large amounts of beer and wine are definitely on the itinerary!

With your own private coach you will see not only the Old Town and historical monuments  but other emblematic spots such as the Bernabeu Stadium (stop and visit if you want  – but ladies, cover your eyes if Sergio Ramos is parading around like he’s just outta the shower...), high-rise Madrid, the bull ring and the amazing fountains and avenues of the artistic and park quarter.

Your guide will fill you in on the history and give you plenty of ideas about what to do in the evening. You’ll then be dropped back where you started, or at a bar or restaurant of your choosing!

Tour Madrid and see our Top 10

The Spain Event team in Madrid recommend the following as the top ten things to see in Madrid:

  • Puerta del Sol (the heart of Madrid)
  • The Royal Palace or Palacio Real
  • Plaza Mayor,  the historic Old Square
  • Templo de Debod, a real Egyptian temple, and the views from El Balcón de Rosales
  • The “football fountains”: Neptuno (Atletico) and Cibeles (Real)
  • Plaza de España with statues of Don Quijote and Sancho Panza
  • Elegant and bustling Gran Via (main shopping street)
  • Plaza de Colon and the statue of Christopher Columbus
  • Paseo del Prado, the Prado Museum and Atocha square
  • El Paseo de la Castellana, the impressive main artery of central Madrid and the Bernabeu Stadium

The Spain Event top tip

Whether you just want to see places and move on, or actually spend more time is up to you. Even if half the group fancy exploring, the other half can just wait for them with a beer or a sangría at the nearest pavement café in the sun.

Looking to get around under your own steam and get some exercise ? Try our Madrid segway tour or Madrid bike tour . Scooter tours are also pretty hip!
