The cruises described on this page depart from the Douro Marina, Porto.
Need transport to the marina for this activity? We can offer a low-priced Porto minivan transfer.
Part of the sail takes place near the mouth of the River Douro. The Atlantic has to be taken seriously and can be choppy. The main part of the sail will however take pace in the calm river area near the city.
Your crew will always conduct the cruise with safety in mind, and at all times and you must heed the rules and advice of the crew.
Private cruises are available all year around.
Drinks and/or food are not included in the standard rental rates. You can bring your own drinks on board (for a small additional cleaning fee) - or book drinks or food with us..

Conditions | Douro Cruises

It is your responsibility to arrive at least 15 mins before sailing time at the dockside
Remember this is near the Atlantic Ocean and at certain times of the year the seas can be choppy or weather may not be 100% calm.
You should take care not to get belongings wet or damaged, this is your responsibility, not that of the crew or captain.
Capacity of the vessels varies and could be changed at last minute.
Transport to the departure point is not included, but ask us if you would like to book transport from your hotel.
The crew and captain are mainly concerned about your safety, as well as your enjoyment. Drunken misbehaviour or nuisance-causing will not be tolerated. Don't get your self keel-hauled!
The captain's decisions about whether it is safe to sail, based on weather conditions, will be final.
Sailings sometimes have to be cancelled due to weather conditions. If this happens we or the crew will always endeavour to let you know as far in advance as possible.
In the unusual event of changes or cancellations at last minute, we will always attempt to make alternative arrangements for you at other times.

Porto Stag Do

Sail and chill out for a 2 or 3 hour sail

Book a 2 or 3 hour Porto catamaran cruise for your stag weekend (or hen do). You’ll sail the one and only Douro river, taking in the majestic bridges and sights of Porto city. You can take your own drinks and food on board, or we’ll arrange for bar service and/or catering. You a even book an on-board DJ to get the deck party going.

Porto Catamaran: your own cruise

The boat sets sails from the Douro marina, just a 15 min taxi ride from central Porto (or book a cheap minivan or coach transfer with us). You’ll sail under the famous iron bridges and along past the wine cellars on the Vila Nova de Gaia side of the city. You can chill out, sunbathe and have a drink of wine or beer. There is no doubt that this is the best way to set up a memorable event for your stag do in Porto.

The wineries to the South and the Cathedral and old buildings of the Porto city centre to the North. You’ll see the rabelos wine barges close up and marvel at this this living riverbank masterpiece And you’ll enjoy a few drinks on the way if you book our catering or bar options (or bring your own).
