The cruises described on this page depart from the Douro Marina, Porto.
Need transport to the marina for this activity? We can offer a low-priced Porto minivan transfer.
Part of the sail takes place near the mouth of the River Douro. The Atlantic has to be taken seriously and can be choppy. The main part of the sail will however take pace in the calm river area near the city.
Your crew will always conduct the cruise with safety in mind, and at all times and you must heed the rules and advice of the crew.
Private cruises are available all year around.
Drinks and/or food are not included in the standard rental rates. You can bring your own drinks on board (for a small additional cleaning fee) - or book drinks or food with us..

Conditions | Douro Cruises

It is your responsibility to arrive at least 15 mins before sailing time at the dockside
Remember this is near the Atlantic Ocean and at certain times of the year the seas can be choppy or weather may not be 100% calm.
You should take care not to get belongings wet or damaged, this is your responsibility, not that of the crew or captain.
Capacity of the vessels varies and could be changed at last minute.
Transport to the departure point is not included, but ask us if you would like to book transport from your hotel.
The crew and captain are mainly concerned about your safety, as well as your enjoyment. Drunken misbehaviour or nuisance-causing will not be tolerated. Don't get your self keel-hauled!
The captain's decisions about whether it is safe to sail, based on weather conditions, will be final.
Sailings sometimes have to be cancelled due to weather conditions. If this happens we or the crew will always endeavour to let you know as far in advance as possible.
In the unusual event of changes or cancellations at last minute, we will always attempt to make alternative arrangements for you at other times.

Porto Hen Weekend

Catamaran Oporto Douro river sail

For a fantastic Porto hen weekend getting the very best that the city and its spectacular riverside has to offer. Catamaran Oporto by the Spain Event lets you choose a 2 or 3 hour river sailing. Cruise the wonderful Rio Douro, and enjoy privileged views of the historic and impressive buildings and bridges of Porto city.

You an organise food and drinks with us as an added option. We recommend a cold wine and tapas on board for hot days while you sun yourselves on the catamaran deck. Or, if you prefer, just grab your own drinks and bring them on board. If you’re looking to get the party going, or want some atmospheric chill out sounds, we can provide a DJ.

It’s your own cruise – party or relax !

The boat sets sails from the Douro marina, just a 15 min taxi ride from central Porto (or book a cheap minivan or coach transfer with us). You’ll sail under the famous iron bridges and along past the wine cellars on the Vila Nova de Gaia side of the city. You can chill out, sunbathe and have a drink of wine or beer. There is no doubt that this is the best way to set up a memorable event for your hen do in Porto (stags are also welcome!).
