Porto life drawing is intended for the would-be aesthete, the lady who yearns to run metaphysical painterly fingers over the subject and depict manhood at its finest. Remember that Portugal and Spain have always seemed the natural home for some of the most outlandish, and entertaining expressionist artists.
Your work will bequeath analytical and artistic insights to posterity. And if not the you’ll giggle your way through the bubbly and feast your eyes on the bloke without pants.
In our Porto life drawing class, we’ll show you how to take a (fig?) leaf from the book of great impressionists and exponents of the abstract we’ll. Like Picasso and Francis Bacon, we’ll make sure you get some drink in you before you get anywhere near touching the easel. You’ll spend between 1 hour and 90 minutes carefully sizing up and sketching our model’s fascinating topographies. And none of the equipment you’d expect will be lacking, we can assure you.
Finished oeuvre looks a bit wonky ? Seen better from your mate’s two-year-old ? Well we’ll just say you’re going through your dada period and maybe enroll you at Porto’s high school of art the fantastic Serralves Foundation. Failing that, if like some cubist masters, you decide to interact with the model (and his mates) maybe we’ll steer you towards some of the Porto night action, not to be of Art nightclub – you’ll get over it.
In case you are going through a blue period yourself, our studio model’s qualities as a sitter will soon perk you up.
Looking for other dishes or concoctions? Try our Porto cocktails mixing class or try some Porto tapas. If all this art gives you the willies, then at least enjoy the drinks, and maybe you’ll wish to follow up with a Port wine tasting session.
